Olympians made in Brunei.

November 8, 2007

I am proud to hear or rather read (today’s Borneo Bulletin pp 46) that the Brunei’s coach, Mohd Shah Johan bin Haji Shari, is now back home after completing the IAAF Coaching Development Director programme.

I am even prouder to read on his plans to help the local sports and the introduction of Sports Education in all schools across the country. This is the sort of mentality needed from our younger generation. Yes Brunei already opened the Sports School under our MOE but this is another story. (Right Johan?)  I agree if the school’s curriculum will include sports as a subject. Who knows and God willing, there will be an Olympic star, made in Brunei.

I sincerely wish Shah Johan all the best in his future undertakings. Brunei Buliiieehhh kali ah!
