This soto kuning or yellow-stick noodle soup must be the best soto in Brunei. (Please challenge me here for any other place). That beverage, by the way is teh tarik. The soup was how a soup should be, not bland or tasteless and the contents – the noodles, beef (you may order chicken or seafood) and the garnishing – chillies, beansprouts and parsley; were all of a correct proportion – not too much, not too little. And I was given kasturi or small lime and lada rindu or flaring-hot chillies. Nice!
I had this at Red Canopy Food Court in Kiulap Plaza at a reasonable price (in terms of food quality and service) though I must warn you that they are charging a 5% service charge but hey, its the taste that count…yummy. Red Canopy Food Court would be officially open this weekend, according to the staff there.
