- Tokyo and Yokohama with 33 million and 35 million population respectively

  • Largest city by land area:

- New York Metro with 8,700 square kilometres (about the size of 806 football fields)

  • Largest city by population:

- Seoul with 10.2 million people

  • Most crowded city:

- Mumbai with a population density of 30,000 people per square kilometre (Stadium Hassanal Bolkiah has the same seating capacity)

  • Richest city:

- Greater Tokyo (will be one until 2020 as predicted by PricewaterhouseCoppers)

  • Most expensive city:

- Tokyo (for the third year running)

  • Best cities offering the best of life:

- Zurich and Vienna
